Electric car charging point installation and testing for a fully charged fleet in Northants

Electric vehicles are the future of transport. Not only do they create much less of an environmental impact than traditional vehicles, but they can also save you a lot of money too.

However, when you invest in an electric fleet for your business, or even an EV for personal use, it’s important that you have the right charging facilities available. Failing to install your own charging points can result in increased cost and time for charging (using a three-pin plug), and even wasted mileage looking for suitable charging points.

Here at Northants Testing, we supply and fit electric car charging point for both workplaces and homes in Northants and across the UK.

Before we get started, we’ll discuss your requirements and make suggestions for the most appropriate charging points for your needs. This will include talking over things like power supply, cost, cables, and even the look of the charging point.

For a business, we usually install rows of charging points, close to the entrance of your building as typically this is where your electricity supply will be.

You may be eligible for government support to install charging points for your business, under the Workplace Charging Scheme. If you need the requirements, you could qualify to get help worth up to £14,000 for up to 40 sockets.

For residential installations, we can work with you to decide where best to place your charging point. However, it is worth noting that you must either own the property, or have express permission from the landlord, and you must also have off-road parking, as well as a WiFi connection.

As well as supplying and installing electric car charging points, we also hope to work with you long term to assist with the training and maintenance requirements you may have after installation. For more information and to discuss your needs, just give us a call.
